directed by John Patrick Moore
musical direction by Clive Worsley
Produced in:
a new musical about the Gilded Age
New York City in the 1870s, a world of soaring wealth and almost unimaginable poverty. Here, in the infamous Five Points neighborhood you’ll find the squalid slum of Mulberry Bend, where we enter into Nick’s Place, a dance hall and saloon that caters to New York’s underground society. Arabella grew up on the streets of Mulberry Bend. Now she sings for Nick. Josie wants a career on the stage. Bill “Boss” McGreedy is a Tammany Man. He’s got plans, big plans; he’s going all the way to the top. But there’s a love triangle set to explode. All unfolds with a cast of 6 dynamic musician/actors singing and playing a vibrant new score of songs inspired by or adapted from the music of our very own Gilded Age.
