Discount tickets

Previews and every Thursday: Pay-what-you-can!
Fri-Sun: $15-$40; all remaining tickets are available on a sliding scale starting at noon on the day of the performance.

Things aren’t going so well for the man history knows as the author of The Prince, the infamous “Handbook for Tyrants.” He’s in exile and is writing farcical sex comedies to make ends meet. But a big break comes when he’s invited to present a new play at an elite soiree in Florence.  Little does he know, his play is merely bait to lure the Cardinal of Florence into an assassination plot…Politics, and playwriting, is a dangerous game!

But then she discovers that Bubble is developing a new device intended to guide users in their day-to-day ethical decisions. What could possibly go wrong there?

PARKING

Street parking can be difficult in the neighborhood.

Public Transportation:

The Berkeley City Club is about a 10 minute walk from the Downtown Berkeley BART station or you can hop on a bus (6, 36, 51B & 79) and get off at Durant & Dana in less than 5 minutes.  The 36 Bus from Oakland also passes within 1 block of the Club. Click here for AC Transit info.

Paid parking is available at:

Douglas Parking lots at 1st Congregation Church of Berkeley across the street from the City Club (with entrance on Channing Way) or The Trinity Lot at 2362 Bancroft Way.

The Metropolitan residential building (2315 Ellsworth) has public parking until midnight.

The Dana/Durant UCB lot, with entrances on Bancroft and Durant (open for public parking after 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday and on weekends).

The Telegraph/Channing Garage (2431 Channing), with entrances 1 block East of the Berkeley City Club on Durant and Channing.

Parking rates and availability can vary depending on events on the UC Campus.  You may want to check the Cal Bears and Cal Performances schedules before your visit.

Accessibility

There is an accessible entrance to the Club on the west side of the building.  Simply follow the sidewalk, ring for entrance, and follow the signs to the elevators.  The theater is located just across from the 1st floor elevator exit.
